HomeKit Siri On/Off Command Change in iOS 17.4

Since updating to iOS 17.4, I now have to give the command “on” or “off” to my lights being controlled through HomeKit with Siri. Previously, I only had to say the name to the device to toggle it on/off. Now Siri is requiring me to actually say on or off. Is there a way to change this back so that it simply toggles the device on/off?

Extremely annoying Siri won't let me use other home control apps, forces HomeKit I bought some new smart lamps from a local company called I2GO. They have their own app for house automation, which integrates to Siri for enabling voice commands. After adding a shortcut for turning lights on by saying something like “turn all lights on”, doing it make Siri complain that I don’t have anything configured on my HomeKit app. I DO NOT WANT TO USE THIS APP. I DO NOT WANT SIRI TO FORCE ME TO USE IT JUST BECAUSE I’M SAYING COMMANDS LIKE “turn all lights on” OR “open my door”. I JUST WANT TO USE THE SHORTCUT THAT DOES WHAT I COMMANDED ON A DIFFERENT APP. I even tried uninstallking HomeKit, but Siri keeps trying to open it and I simply can’t disable that. Nothing I’ve tried worked. Is it even possible? I don’t want to have to say random things (that won’t trigger HomeKit) for the automations to work.

SIRI refers to Home app when I'm trying to run a Shortcut When I ask Siri to run a Shortcut to turn on/off my lights, it says it doesn't see anything on my Home app instead of running my Shortcut. How do I fix this issue? The Home app requires you to scan the QR of a device (and not all devices have a QR) which is why I resorted to Shortcuts for my lights. This is quite annoying! Hope someone has a solution to this :{
