Unable to update iPhone despite having enough storage

I’ve been trying to update my phone but can’t. I do have enough storage so why isn’t it letting me?! I’ve even tried deleting apps and photos.

How do you know you have enough space?

Are you getting a message that you need more space?

Not only do need to room to download the update, but then it must unzip the update and install the update. Only after the update is installed can it then be removed. You can use a computer to install the update, which will download the update to the computer and then install it on the device.
