Unable to backup my iPhone to my Mac

I have a iPhone 10XR I cannot back this phone up on mac computer as everytime I try to it flashes trust don't trust on my phone. I understand iTunes has been taken off mac's etc but why can I not back my phone I have trued the genera reset way but still nothing.

iphone not reconized on Mac (macOS 10.13.6) I'm unable to backup my iPhone as it is not reconized by iTunes running on iMac (macOS 10.13.6) however it is recognized on iTunes running on my old MacBook running OS X El Capitan - anyone, please :-) iPhone is running the latest OS (as of 12 Feb 21)
