iPhone purchased 2nd hand is locked to an Apple ID


I purchased this iphone 12 second hand but the phone has an Apple account lock on it and I'm unable to access it and use it is there any way around this.

Nope. Not without the original credential used to set up the phone. The chances of you having purchased a locked stolen iPhone are high. If you don't know the person who set up the phone, you have a totally useless iPhone on your hands. Apple won't help you remove Activation Lock. We can't help you remove Activation Lock.


Either get whoever you bought the phone from to unlock the phone, or get your money back or recycle the phone responsibly and learn from this unfortunate buying decision.
