FAIL: Emails sent from icloud to gmail rejected as "unauthenticated"

Hi

Trying to send an email from my icloud Mail to a person's Gmail.

I get an auto rejection as below. PLEASE can Apple Support tell me what I need to do?

   SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data:

   550-5.7.26 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated.

   550-5.7.26 Gmail requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM.

   550-5.7.26

   550-5.7.26 Authentication results:

   550-5.7.26 DKIM = did not pass

   550-5.7.26 SPF [icloud.com] with ip: [94.126.40.76] = did not pass

   550-5.7.26

SOLVED

Apple Support online chat helped me.

The strange thing with error message above is it mentions (last line) LCN.com (which is my email provider with another email altogether).

SOLUTION:

Open Mail. Select MAIL>> PREFERENCES >>

Highlight the problem icloud account

Click the "server settings" tab.

Make sure it shows the correct "outgoing Mail account" in dropdown list. (in my case xxxx@icloud.com )

IF it shows a different account (in my case yyyy@mailprovider.com), click the drop down menu and change it to the correct one.

Hopefully, like me, this will resolve the issue
