How to correct iCloud email not passing dmarc - and goes to spam

Email sent from one iCloud address to my private domain goes to spam. The sender _@icloud.com address is "neither permitted or denied". "Authentication-Results: imf12.hostedemail.com; dkim=none; dmarc=fail reason="No valid SPF, No valid DKIM" header.from=icloud.com (policy=quarantine); spf=softfail"

I only have this problem with one incoming email address. I put the address in my allowed senders and try to filter it. Neither works.

Header on other iCloud emails reads: "Authentication-Results: imf13.hostedemail.com; dkim=pass header.d=icloud.com header.s=1a1hai header.b=Cg4pZ8nR; dmarc=pass (policy=quarantine) header.from=icloud.com; spf=pass". No problems.

You pinpointed the problem. Sender uses AppleMail but did not use iCloud outgoing smtp. They changed account settings to pick iCloud as Outgoing Mail Account. Problem solved.

After your suggestion, I noticed in the header, a reference to senders company email as sender eventhough the email clearly came from an iCloud address. Thanks
