final cut and compressor render problem

Since some months ago, I'm getting too many failed renders either in Compressor or in Final Cut, I finally manage to render the files, but it need several try outs, and some renders are 4h-8h long and they fail, so I finally did the job in Premiere to be on time with the schedule.

I'm getting all kind of errors, "controler down" "error at frame xxx" (whcih it doesnt matter as frames are ok, and each render test gives differetn frame number, until finally, after reboots and so on , the render completes)

so there is something weird in my setup it was working 6 months ago, maybe 1 of 50 renders failed, but now I cant render anything.

sometimes it helps rendering first to proress and then transcode to h265, sometimes it doesn't-...

Is this using Send to Compressor (ie. a project sent directly from FCP to Compressor), compressing an existing video file, or both?

Did you try deleting preferences (of both FCP and Compressor - they work the same way, holding down Commad and Option as they start)?

Did you try deleting render files?

Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

I've done this to get Compressor to behave in a civilized manner again. Works most of the time, not all of the time.

In Compressor, go to Settings, to Advance.

Click the Reset Queue button.

Select "Cancel Jobs."

Then click Reset Queue again.

This time, chose "Repair Compressor."

Reboot, relaunch, see if it helps. It has helped me and others on many occasions.
