Phone shows call came from Greece

While recently logging into an online account, I was prompted (per protocol) to click on the number I wished to receive code on. I entered the number they had on account for my iPhone (AT&T). The call came and went to voice mail. I retrieved the code and logged in successfully. Later I notice my phone suggested the number came from Greece with +30 ...... However, the number matched that for the security department of the bank I was conducting business with. Why did my phone suggest or think the number was coming from Greece?

I understand that, but they did not initiate the contact, I did when I logged into my account. I contacted the bank. They said they have had no such issues. Said it sounded perhaps like a setting on my iPhone caused the phone to read the number as a Greece number, seeing as the area code for my bank and the Greece country code both start with 30 and the rest of the number was correct. Perhaps a data roaming issue or something? Who knows with iPhone.

Scammers have the ability to make a call from them look like it is coming from another company. "Greece" and "Russia" are currently very active making scam calls hoping to fool users into thinking their phone has been hacked and the user just needs to provide "a few more details" to "protect" their phone.
