iPad restore failure

I have an iPad with 16 GB model A1458 and I cannot get it to restore even though I get the Apple logo for a moment or two it reverts back to support apple.com/iPad/restore with an iTunes insignia in the center

Ipad restore I have been trying to update the ipad and it did not. This time while updating over itunes it showed an error and the ipad screen froze with the apple icon and progress bar. So I had to restart and on restart it showed the icon of cabel that connects to itunes and an restore url. Now i connected again to itunes and it suggested that the ipad had to be restored and not updated. Now the ipad is still showing the same restore icon and sometimes switches off and on displaying the same icon while the itune says "Itunes is currently updating the software on the ipad". Is it normal and do i need to be signed in to itunes while restore is going on?

Trying to restore my iPad2. Trying to restore my iPad2. Itunes sees it, but when it goes into restore mode, the apple logo appears on the iPad but the progress bar has not moved in over 3 hours. I've tried different computers to do the restore. and still no progress. Any ideas what

iPad restore fails to complete I’ve already pressed update and restore numerous times but when the process is finished this keeps popping up making me do the whole thing again [Re-Titled by Moderator]
