There are NO known viruses for iPhone. You'd be first person I've ever seen suggest their iPhone said it couldn't be updated because of one.
Take a screenshot of the message and show it to us, please.
No such message would ever appear from Apple. And unless you've jailbroken your phone, having any type of malware is just short of zero.
