I've read that moving the overly massive FinalCut Pro bundle to an external SSD would free up resources restricted by the absurdly massive amount of data consumed by this bundle.

There is a file called untitled.fcpbundle taking up over 170 GB in the Mac hard drive. I assume this is the data collection that grows to an absurd size and shuts down operations while editing 360 videos. Because of this, I no longer attempt to use fcp at all. It also uses up almost half my memory, thereby restricting the ability to add software. Is it feasible to move this somehow to an external SSD that can be dedicated to Final Cut Pro? If so, how can I move it since, a copy-and-paste would likely overload the McIntosh Hard-drive memory. I assume there would be some kind of linking to the FCP software for a remotely mounted bundle to work.

A few things you can do to clear up space in FCP: select the library in the browser and use File>Delete generated library files. Remove all optimized and render files. In FCP settings retouch of background rendering and leave it off. If you’re using multicam switch of generate optimized files for multicam.

You can simply drag the library from one drive to another to copy it. Then delete the bundle from the system drive.

For an excellent introduction to FCP start with Steve Martin’s 60 minute intro.

For a more in depth introduction use the Izzy video tutorials. The version is a bit dated but the principles are the same.
