Airplay Music Files not Working

Since Sonoma 14.3.1 update, I cannot Airplay music file from my Mac mini to my HomePods. The music sputters intermittently but no buffering. I enjoy Airplaying my music files to stereo HomePods as the quality of the stream sounds better than the same song on Apple Music in most cases.

Play audio on multiple AirPlay devices from macOS Hello I recently purchased several HomePod mini devices and I am unable to stream macOS system audio to them simultaneously in the scenario described below. I am able to select and stream to multiple devices via iOS (verified on versions 15 and 16). I am also able able to stream to multiple devices from macOS on specific sources (e.g. YouTube). However, I am unable to select multiple sound output devices in the macOS system audio settings (verified on macOS Monterey version 12.6.1). There are no checkmarks displayed and selecting another AirPlay device switches the audio to the selected device (i.e. the previously selected device stops playing). I wonder if this is intended (i.e. not possible), a defect or hidden in some settings? Can someone confirm this working in macOS Ventura (yet)? Cheers! P.S.: I tried creating a multi-output device in the Audio MIDI Setup app but it does not let me add any AirPlay devices.

HomePod mini won't play sound from Mac Safari via AirPlay after Sonoma update I am able to play music from my Apple Music library to my HomePod mini via Airplay, but any sound from any Safari website (YouTube, etc.) refuses to play via AirPlay to my HomePod mini. I've reset the HomePod mini twice now. It was always a struggle before MacOS Sonoma, often requiring me to quit Safari and re-launch it. But now it won't play sounds from Safari no matter what I try.

Airplay icon missing in Apple Music for Ventura macOS Why did Apple delete the Airplay icon on Apple Music for the latest releases of Ventura macOS? Their support group didn't know this was done and only realized it after extensive troubleshooting. I've reported this feature issue on Apple Product Feedback but wanted to understand how a user group can create pressure on Apple to reinstate a feature that is available on every other product that support Apple Music (including older Macs, MacBooks, iPhones, etc.) except the latest macOS update on the latest Macs. This feature is important for anyone wanting to output Apple Music running on a Mac to external speakers/home theatre while being able to keep the output of the Mac for other apps/websites running on the Mac.

Try restarting your Mac mini and HomePods. Check your network connection and router settings for stability. If the problem persists, consider contacting Apple Support for assistance.
