This does not work at all. Nothing happens when I right click on the menu item. And besides, even using the items from the menu does not work. When I copy the style from the menu, if it only has the cell highlighted, then it will only copy the "Cell Style", i.e. background color, borders etc. If I highlight text within the cell, it will copy the text format, such as font, text color, underline etc.
Now, the problem occurs when I copy some text, say, from a website, then after pasting it, I want to copy the text format from an existing cell, then paste it onto the copied cells, it won't work with multiple cells, it only works with cell styles.

It depends on what you mean by "this":) Are you on the Mac? If so, don't try to right-click a menu item. Instead right-click the Toolbar. That way you can change the toolbar just the way you can in many Mac applications. You right-click it and drag icons onto it.

Thereafter to copy a style to multiple cells just follow the four steps in my list.
If you are having trouble with unwanted formatting when pasting in text from a website then instead of Edit > Paste or command-v have you tried Edit > Paste and Match Style? The keyboard shortcut for that is shift-option-command-v.
