Apple ID Not Recognizing New Area Code

I am attempting to create a new apple ID and the phone number is being rejected as 'invalid'. I believe the error stems from Apple not yet recognizing the new area code, 728, recently created in FL. My question - how long does the Apple team anticipate it will take until this issue is resolved?
