I have a red warning malware on my Mac every time I try to use Google.

I was trying to get on Amazon and a warning box opened and audio looking like Apple telling me to call a number and that my computer is locked. I shut it down. What should I do now?

It asked me to check the box to make sure I'm human, so I did and then the screen had a message saying my computer is infected. I did NOT click on it, closed out Safari, cleared history. Virus on MacBook Air 14 ? i honestly don’t know what’s going on, but I tried downloading a YouTube video into my MacBook and then all of a sudden my computer started going crazy and started saying I had a virus that it was detecting a virus and now on my Safari it keeps sending me notification stating ““ mac at risk! secure now from macosx-update.com protect with our antivirus today“ and I’m not sure if it’s real and also I’m not sure how to access settings on safari. I’ve been trying to see if I could delete.

It's a scam notification caused by a website that you clicked on and allowed notifications.
