Using Intel iMac 27" (Sonoma 14.3.1) with FCPC (10.7.1). All of a sudden, whenever I drop a video into the timeline the video and audio do not match up. The audio lags significantly, about a second. When I import it into FCPX and click on the imported video, everything is fine. The lag comes when I drop it into the magnetic timeline.
Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this???

Is that the size you want to deliver, HD not 4K?
The frame rate’s wrong, just wrong enough to be a nuisance. You should change the frame rate to 25. You can’t change it while there are clips in the project. Select everything and use Cmd-X to cut it out. In that window you showed changed the frame rate to 25. Then use Cmd-V to paste everything back into the project. See if that works better.
Ok, I hope I'm giving you what you need. This is a 4K video recorded outside at 25 fps. I used the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, with the wireless Osmo Mic 2. The information section of FCPX says Original (HEVC) Optimized (Apple ProRes 422), and Proxy (Apple ProRes 422 Proxy).
I've used this setup several times before but at 30 fps and have never had this issue. Today is a first.

Select the project and press Cmd-J. The information is in the inspector, but if you click the modify button a window will open that shows the project set up.
Please give the complete specs of the media, video and audio. Also give the project properties.
How was the audio recorded? Was it recorded onto the video clip?
The media is 4K 25fps. The audio is recorded as part of the video file, correct? What is the audio sample rate, and what are the project properties of the project where the problem is?

The audio was recorded as part of the video file, yes. When I watch the clip on my desktop, everything if just fine. When I click on it in the imported video area of FCPX, it appears to be just fine. But when I drop it into the magnetic timeline, there's a huge lag in the audio.
I'm not sure where to find the info on the audio sample rate and project properties.
I just found the audio sample rate: 48 kHz
