connecting kindle paper white 10th generation to MacBook pro

I want to connect my kindle to my mac in order to access updates now that kindle formats have changed. I cannot connect my USB charger to the Mac as there is no USB. How can I access my kindle via computer in order to review my library, get updates, etc.

A quick Google search brought up this (non-Apple) article: Connect Kindle To Mac.

Apparently, the biggest takeaway I see in the article is that the original cable that shipped with your Kindle must be used for this. Assuming your MacBook Pro has USB C ports, you'll need a USB A to USB C adaptor (available at Apple and online at other sources).

Regarding Kindle formats, though, you'll want to hit up the Kindle support forum and ask further questions there.
