When migrating from intel imac to a new M1 imac, the process created two user IDs for me, one of which will not allow me to upgrade the OS. How can I revert to one owner?
I migrated my 2017 iMac to a new iMac M1 not long ago. During that process, the system somehow ended up giving me two separate IDs for my new computer, using two variations of my name. Since then, I have to select one of these IDs every time I log in. The ID that I prefer to use, however, will not allow me to update my OS (currently Sonoma 14.3.1. So I have to log out, log with the other ID, do the update, then log out of that ID and log back into my main ID. The secondary ID is not configured to operate as my main computer. This is a nuisance, and I can't figure out how to combine the two IDs and get rid of this problem. Any help will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.
