HOW DO I REMOVE MY NAME AS OWNER AND ADMINISTRATOR AND POSSIBLY REPLACE WITH NEW OWNERS INFO FROM MY 2012 IMAC USING EL CAPTAIN

I sold my 2012 iMac and don't know how to remove my name and all my other info or transfer the data and the new owner asked me to apply his contact info to take ownership ...how do i do this properly. and i am unsure if the version of el captain I'm using is complete or in its proper filing order how can i re install el captain and switch ownership while removing my info?

This article from Apple should provided the needed information.


It should be done by you before the computer is presented to the New Owner.


Once the final reboot occurs, just power down the computer via the power button


This way, when the Newer Owner take ownership and on the First Boot-up - they have the joy of the " Out of the Box " experience
