Fitness app for iPad (not the Fitness+ app)

How come the Fitness app on my iPhone for free and Apple wants to charge me to use the app on my iPad ? I DON’T want Fitness+ for my iPad….I just want the FREE version of Fitness that is on my iPhone. The Fitness and Fitness+ apps use the same icons ?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

The App is free to download on both devices. However, the version for iPad only offers access to the fitness and training videos that require the Fitness+ subscription to access. It does not offer the fitness tracking data of the iPhone version.

You can offer Apple feedback if you would like to have access to your fitness data on the iPad too.
