Apple Maps freezes on CarPlay

I am having freezes n Apple Maps using hardwired CarPlay. Map just quits moving, making navigation very difficult for those of us who rely on visual cues. The application continues to tell me when to turn, but that is problematic when there are multiple choices. This has been reported before. Any solutions? sing iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17.4 (also happened on 17.3), USB connection, Honda Accord Hybrid 2017. Only fix I have found is to end route and start over.

Apple Maps Freezing iPhone When I use Apple Maps in OS 16 (iPhone 14), the map suddenly freezes, as do other apps. Quitting them does nothing. It requires a hard reset to get data to download again and Maps to display the navigation. I've seen others reporting this as well, but haven't found a solution. Anyone aware of a fix?

Apple Maps Freezes on iPhone Ive used and relied on maps for years for work and travel. Lately it freezes with the interface no matter what vehicle. The directions come up but the map stays in the expanded position and doesn't change or turn. Also when I set a scenic back road route it reverts back to a highway route even though a scenic route was chosen. I hate to say it Waze and Google maps have been more reliable and easier to interface with my vehicles. Any help would be appreciated. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

CarPlay freezing after iOS 18 update Periodically, but fairly frequently, CarPlay freezes. Often when switching between listening to a book using Libby and a map either google maps or Apple Maps.
