There are a few other things you can try to fix the intrusive Face ID on your iPhone 13 Pro:

  1. Check Face ID Settings: Make sure the features you might not need aren't enabled. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and check:
    1. Attention Aware: This feature can trigger Face ID when you look at your phone to wake it or lower notifications. If you don't find it useful, you can turn it off.
    2. Require Attention for Apple Pay & Passbook: Disabling this allows Face ID to work for transactions even if you're not directly looking at the phone. Consider if this is a security risk you're comfortable with.
  2. Reset Face ID: This removes your stored facial data and requires you to set up Face ID again. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Reset Face ID. Then tap "Set Up Face ID" to go through the setup process again.
  3. Consider Face ID with a Mask: If you wear a mask frequently, you can set up an alternate appearance with a mask on. This will allow Face ID to recognize you even when your mask is covering your lower face. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Add Appearance and follow the instructions for setting up Face ID with a mask.
  4. Check for Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions covering the TrueDepth camera system on the front of your iPhone. Clean the camera and the surrounding area to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Review App Permissions: Some apps may be requesting Face ID authentication unnecessarily. Check your app permissions to see which apps have access to Face ID and consider revoking access for apps that don't require it.

If none of these solutions work, there might be an underlying issue with the TrueDepth camera system. In that case, it's best to contact Apple Support for further diagnosis and potential repairs.
