Can view voicemails but unable to listen to them

Hi community - I can see that voicemails are coming through on my iphone 12 version ios 17.3.1 but when I go to listen to them it states that there are no voicemails. I know I have actual voicemails but can't listen to them can you please help me resolve this issue.
