nsurlsessiond connecting to googleapis.com

I'm monitoring my Mac's connections to the internet using Little Snitch Mini and I've found that the process nsurlsessiond is connecting to googleapis.com.

I've read that this process can be used for other apps, but I do not have any Google apps installed, and by reading another old discussion (check here) I learned that Apple uses some resources from Google. That is quite disappointing because I'm trying to get rid of Google and Apple is using it.

Has anyone found the same connection? Any ideas about what this connection is used for?

It is confirmed, Apple is Google's largest corporate customer for cloud storage: https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/06/29/apple-is-now-googles-largest-corporate-customer-for-cloud-storage

I wish Apple would review its policy and use another company to store its users' data, mainly because Google isn't a privacy advocacy player in the market. Therefore, it is not aligned with Apple's values and its customers.
