As a result of a class action, Apple agreed to settle out of court with people who experienced the slowing of their iphone7. How to do this?

I think the Author isn't referring to "Loop Disease" but is referring to the settlement recently paid out when Apple intentionally throttled iPhones to avoid them shutting themselves down.

Ah yes, you’re very likely right. Good catch.

Correcting Kurtosis12’s response slightly: as stated, the deadline has long since passed but some iPhone 7 users may have been included. Source:

Apple coughed-up over $100M for the “slowdown” settlement.

AFAIK it was recently - or is about to - be distro’d by the claims administrator.

It's been distributed (January of this year) and to have been included owners would have had to be signed up for the payouts LOOOONG ago. In fact in order to be eligible, customers had to file a claim prior to the October 6, 2020 deadline.

Nothing here contradicts anything stated above - the deadline to add your name expired a long time ago.

I think the Author isn't referring to "Loop Disease" but is referring to the settlement recently paid out when Apple intentionally throttled iPhones to avoid them shutting themselves down.
