Already paid for the music, why pay Apple again to store it for me?

I cannot stand that without warning iTunes was dumped for the new Music app. I have thousands of songs but because they breach the max free limit of 200mg, I now have to pay a subscription every month to store music I have already paid for to have it ready on my iPhone. Some of these songs I have collected over the years from CD purchases.

These songs and all my playlists were wiped from my iPhone and Mac on the last upgrades, so thankful that I have an old iPad.

I cant transfer the music onto the mac and I cannot transfer the music onto my iphone.

I am also not going to pay storage fees on "the cloud" again for music that I have already purchased.

Does anyone know of a good app, (sorry nothing in the apple space) that will let me store, for free, without adds, and transfer the music from iPad to iPhone. Otherwise I am going to lug around my old iPad just to listen to music.

iPhone 8, iOS 15
