Try reinstalling the original 2 x 4GB modules and test.

1) It is best to upgrade RAM modules in pairs.

for example: add 2 x 8GB or 2 x 16GB modules to the existing 2 x 4GB modules.

double check the part # of 32GB Crucial module to make sure that it is actually for an iMac.

That is a kernel panic and they can have many causes. The most common one is incompatible third-party RAM. Did you add RAM after buying the computer? If so, what brand and model?

It's not uncommon for stores to not carry the correct RAM. Crucial is a very good brand however, when buying their products it's wise to purchase directly from Crucial.com. Take out the upgraded RAM and then run the computer for a couple of days with the original RAM and see how it does.

Contact Crucial Support for a possible replacement.

If not, then I suggest buying the 2 x 16 GB module kit directly from Crucial.

Then add that 2 x 16 GB kit to the factory 2 x 4 GB.

2 x 16 GB + 2 x 4 GB = 40 GB
