@me.com account is no longer receiving mail

Since the 23rd of January 2024 I no longer receive any incoming mail to my @me.com mail address other than mail from Apple themselves. I've tried every solution that I've seen other than deleting the @me.com account as I know I will lose it if I do so. I am unsure what may have triggered this issue and am desperately looking for a solution as multiple services I use require 2-factor authentication via emails sent to this address that I am no longer receiving. When I tried to send a 'test' email to my @me.com account from a gmail account I received the screenshot below in response:

I've deleted mass amounts of mail to try 'free-up space' even though my iCloud+ has 150gb of free space, I've tried signing in and out of my iCloud, restarting my phone, scanning through and resetting numerous settings, and scouring the apple forums, but nothing seems to fix my very inconveniencing problem.

Re: @me.com account is no longer receiving mail

At very top of your screenshot :

Mail Delivery Substation seems to say it is Google Mail where: "the Recipient inbox is full".

You may want to log-in to your GMail account online at https://accounts.google.com and check what is happening in your account there.

Eg: Seems your @me.com Mail may arrive in your Mail account via GMail which is not able to perform.

Wondering what settings you have in place for deleted Mail ... iEg may go to an Archive, Bin or Trash folder where it is not permanently deleted for up to 30 days ? So if you delete something in error, or if you change your mind, you can recover deleted emails.

To check: "Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts".

"Tap iCloud, tap iCloud again, tap iCloud Mail, then tap Mailbox Behaviors"

Above is from the complete article: Delete and recover emails in Mail on iPhone - Apple Support

NB: Also says:

iCloud doesn’t keep deleted emails longer than 30 days, even if you select Never.

If the deleted files are still in iCloud:
