Swollen screen issue after replacing iPhone 7 battery

what could be wrong when you just change your iphone 7 battery and your screen got swollen in few days after

It means the battery that was installed is defective or was damaged during installation and is failing catastrophically.

Stop using it immediately and get it out of your home. It is a fire/explosion hazard.


If it was replaced by Apple or an authorized service provider, take it back to them. If it was replaced by someone else, dispose of the device safely and buy a new phone. Apple won't touch it except to recycle it for you now.

This can happen when the battery in an iPhone is long past the time to have been replaced. In your case, since you replaced the battery, they did a really bad job. The phone should be IMMEDIATELY powered off and it can't be used again. Take the phone to your closest Apple Store, where they will recycle it safely for you. You'll need to buy a new phone.
