On your device, go to Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Typing Feedback. From here, you can turn on the following: Character feedback: Turn on Characters to have your device speak letters as you type.

Hold the side button to wake Siri and say “Turn off voiceover"

Does this happen only when you are texting, or does this happen every time you type regardless of app?
