Closed captions disappear when video is in full screen

Closed captions only work/appear when videos are in small screen; as soon as I expand the video, the closed captions suddenly disappear.

This happens on both my iPhone and iPad
I typically use Safari

What happens is whenever I choose full screen mode video on a website I get partial square pic of the screen or black screen. No sound and only partial videos sometimes just black screen ….I have to watch it in the small mode or pinch to go a little bigger for it to work. [Bug] iPad Safari YouTube fullscreen video only takes up a quarter of the screen When using safari to play a YouTube video in webpage and go full screen, I sometimes get this glitch where the video only takes up a quarter of the screen. The quickest resolution is to turn my iPad right side up and then back in the position I was using it. Sometimes the problem will randomly resolve itself but I hope to completely get rid of it. Besides, I notice that the problem only happens when the YouTube webpage zooming is greater than 100%. Please help.
