Apple watch no longer unlocks my Mac | SOLVED

After every Mac OS update my watch no longer unlocks my Mac Studio nor My MacBook Pro or my iMac Pro 2017. Each time I go through a series of reboots and crazy steps with keychain and Wi-Fi etc. as offered all over the web and eventually it just starts working again, sometimes weeks later. I recently solved this problem and it works on all three devices after doing so:

1) Open the Watch app on your iPhone.

2) The first thing you see are "My Faces". Tap on your current face and then select an optional face just to force any kind of change.

3) wait until the new face appears on your watch

4) Revert back to your former face if you like (optional)

5) Reboot your computer

6) Login and check system settings - search "watch" to see if the slider is the "On" position

7) It just works!
