Replaced battery in AirTag but it’s still not working

Did you hear the "beep" after replacing the battery? If so, when you bring the AirTag near your iPhone, does it appear on the phone's screen or in the Find My app?
Did you make sure that the replacement battery does not have a bitterant coating?
