How can we re-add iCloud+ Family member?

An elderly family member created her own iCloud+ account (because of the iPhoto Stream silliness in July 2023). I see that in the iCloud+ Family settings that she is “Not using.”

  1. How do I get her back onto the storage subscription?
  2. What sorts of warnings and popups will she encounter that may mislead her to thinking that she’s going to lose everything?

Thanks in advance!

I understand from your question that the family sharing group member still uses their own iCloud+ plan and wishes to migrate to the iCloud+ plan used by your group.

They can migrate to your iCloud+ plan in the family sharing group by using Apple's instructions in the support document Share iCloud+ with your family which reiterates that:

If a family member is already paying for their own iCloud+ plan, they can choose to switch to your plan or keep their own and still remain part of the family.

On the linked page scroll down to the section called "Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan" and follow the steps listed. They will have to do this on their device.

Before they attempt this make sure that the plan for your family sharing group has enough space to accommodate the space they are currently using in their plan.
