CarPlay audio constantly “pauses”

Whenever my phone is plugged in and I get a notification my music stops playing. It says it’s playing, the volume is up but no sound. I have to reconnect the phone every time or restart my radio. I’ve tried different cables. It’s annoying considering it’s happening a lot more frequently. Sometimes the music just won’t play at all.

Sound stopping on Carplay Hi I am using an iPhone 13 mini on IOS 17.2.1, updated yesterday. Since the update when I connect to Carplay on 2019 VW system by Bluetooth and play music down loaded from my PC through the music app it plays until I plug in the cable to charge. After about 5 seconds the sound stops but the track is still playing , you can see the ribbon move. When I unplug and press play on the cars infotainment system sound starts again until I plug in. This has only happened since the IOS update. Can you assist please. Cheers

Audio randomly cuts out when using CarPlay I have had this issue for a long time now, with multiple cars, multiple iPhones, and multiple software updates. My phone will be connected to CarPlay, the map still works and all the features work, but the audio will randomly cut out. I tried waiting for the audio to come back, but it never does. My phone will say the audio is playing (the audio time will continue to move forward) but no sound plays. The only way to fix it is to pause the audio app, sometimes close the app, and try again a few minutes later. But the audio will continue to cut out. Sometimes it happens less than a minute after I closed and reopened the app. This happens with the music app, SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, all other audio apps. This has happened with wired CarPlay and wireless CarPlay. This has happened on previous software update versions and the most recent version (17.5.1). This has happened with my current phone (15 pro) and my previous phone (12). This has happened on my old car (2020 Subaru Outback) and my new car (2021 Honda insight). I get so frustrated. I can never seem to find a solution and no one seems to be able to help. I can’t recreate the problem to show a mechanic or Apple employee, it feels like it happens randomly. It makes me so mad while driving. This shouldn’t be happening and I feel like it should be an easy fix. But I can never find help online. Everything online seems to only suggest checking the USB connection to the car, or checking the CarPlay settings (which all seem normal). Has anyone found a solution? It’s driving me INSANE!

Kenwood car stereo : CarPlay worked in the past, no longer working I have been using Apply CarPlay with my iPhone 12 max pro for a few years now, everything seemed to be working fine. If I just plugged in the phone and did nothing, generally the speakers would flip from using my headset to using the car speakers and whatever app I was using would display on the car screen (spotify, podcast, etc). Within the last month, however, it is no longer working correctly : i plug the iPhone into the USB and the "Apple CarPlay" icon appears I click on the CarPlay icon and the screen on the Kenwood display goes black The iPhone screen indicates that the phone is charging, sound from the iPhone continues to play over my headset instead of on the car speakers Is anybody aware of anything that has happened over the past few weeks (new updates???) that might have hosed up the phone's ability to connect???
