Apple no longer offering small current iPhones

I have an iPhone 13mini. I love it. Best iPhone I've owned. Just wanted to get one for my daughter to replace her aging 6SE and found out the 13mini was discontinued. They now only sell one size of 13, and offer no small phones in the 14 or 15 lineup. In fact, oddly, the one small phone they still sell is the 6se which is now 9 generations old! (Perhaps they kept the 6se for those who want a fingerprint reader.) Why no 13 mini? Certainly there must be enough of us that appreciate a small phone that fits more easily in the hand and in the pocket. I do hope that Apple will bring out a small phone when the 16s comes to market. I don't need to replace my 13 mini at this point but would like to know that when my mini gives up the ghost I will be able to purchase a small phone to replace it.

No such thing as an iPhone 6SE. There was an iPhone 6, then an iPhone 6s the following year, and an iPhone SE (no number), midway through that same year.

They have kept making iterations of the SE (not 6SE) model, in 2020, and most

recently in 2022. The current SE has nothing to do with the iPhone 6 or

6S or the first SE from 9 to 10 years ago.

Sales numbers indicate this is not the case. No, the minis were in fact the worst performing models when they were sold. So, no, it appears there are not enough of you who appreciate a smaller iPhone.

Unlikely. That size of iPhone does not sell well, and Apple consistently loses money on them.

You are asking only other users a why question on this user to user only forum, which no one from Apple actively participates. We can't speak for Apple. But we can certainly guess why as the Mini's just didn't seem to sell as well as the larger phones. If you ran a business, you'd probably invest more into things people want the most and that is likely why Apple no longer sells a Mini. Again, that's my guess, but I am pretty confident it speaks to why.

Hey Mini Fan, I‘m sorry to hear that. If you want a small phone (and if your daughter wants to keep the home button) I suggest going for the IPhone SE. Either 2nd or 3rd Gen. Both are rarely new and the 3rd Gen has the same Chip as the 13 does, so except for the Stuff being available to Face-ID Phones, it should be about the same
