I dropped my phone and the screen got messed up. The phone was doing weird things like magically typing numbers and calling my emergency contact over and over again. I got the green fixed but I have been locked out due to to many attempts. Ids there a way I can get in to my phone sooner than the 8 hours it has me waiting?

Do you know the correct passcode? If not, it won't make sense to sit through another wait period before you have another chance to enter the passcode again......which will fail if you don't enter the correct passcode.
If you are sure that you have the correct passcode....then it would make sense to sit tight and enter the correct passcode in 8 hours.
But, if you have forgotten the passcode, then your only option at this point would be to erase the phone and set it up again using your current backup of the phone to restore the data back to the phone.
