How to fix eSIM error ?

iPhone 12 wouldn’t update to 17.04, device kept saying unable to verify update. Factory reset phone and was unable to activate, got error saying “ Unable to activate, update is required to update your iPhone.

• Used apple support, they had me remove sim and setup ESIM, no resolution
• Tried going to Verizon store, they were unable to fix but referred me to an Apple store
• Went to Apple Store, they plugged in my phone and updated the software, no resolution. They then went into diagnostic mode and got an ESIM error, and cellular module error.

They told me they could gat a repair of the eSIM and cellular module for $399.00.

Where do i get the repair done?

Has anyone gotten the repair and was it worthwhile?

Not sure if i should trade in or upgrade instead?
