Customize iPhone for vibration sensitivities
If you have a sensitivity or intolerance to vibrations, you can customize iPhone to suit your needs.
Have you turned on haptics in the Watch app?
I don't have a Watch as old as yours to test, so this may not work. In the Watch app on your phone, look for Sound & Haptics. Make sure that Haptic Alerts are enabled and they are set to "Prominent."
There is no such choice. Just Sounds.
6s Plus - ios 15.8.1
When I ask Siri for "Where is Haptics setting" or "Where is Sound & Haptics setting" I get "sorry something is wrong" but Siri works for every other setting.
I am trying to get my Apple Watch 2nd Gen. to vibrate for certain apps.

You are correct. With a little research, I found this:
The following iPhone models include haptic feedback:
I have two choices: Vibrate on Ring/Silent.
Seems no way to have it vibrate for apps let alone particular apps.
(Is there a way to get the Watch to vibrate for certain apps? ... I can't hear the sound the watch makes.)
Sound & Haptics is in the Watch app ... the Apple help document is wrong.
I've chosen prominent.
There is no choice for Vibrate/Haptics in the Notifications setting.
I get NO notifications on the watch.
The app has notifications enabled.
And the Watch app says "Notifications WON'T appear" and when you scroll down it says "Mirror iPhone Alerts" .... HUH???????
I think what that's trying to tell you is that when you're wearing the watch (and it's unlocked), you'll get the notifications on the watch. If you're using your phone (i.e., it's unlocked), you'll get them there. That's the way it has always worked.
I don't know why you're getting no notifications at all. Do you have Do Not Disturb enabled? I believe on your watch, you would access the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. Look for the icon with a bell with a slash through it. If it's colored (it's red on my watch), tap it to turn it off.
The watch isn't locked.
The app isn't running on the phone.
The watch works fine ... gives notifications ... just not for the app ... I've contacted their support.
Thank much.
What you seem to be saying about Watch Notifications is that Phone notifications trump Watch notifications ... a Phone notification will show on the watch if the app isn't running on the watch. A Watch app notification will not show on the phone. (correct? If so their caption needs updating.)

This has nothing to do with apps "running." It has to do with which device is locked and which isn't.
iPhone locked/watch locked - notifications appear on iPhone
iPhone locked/watch unlocked - notifications appear on watch
iPhone unlocked/watch unlocked - notifications appear on iPhone
If there's only one app that isn't giving you notifications, the first thing I would do is delete it and reinstall it. I would delete and reinstall it from both devices, not just the watch. When you reinstall it and launch it on the phone, it should ask you for permission to send notifications. Select "Ok". Then, re-install it on the watch.
Which model phone do you have?

It now works ... I didn't account for syncing I suppose.
Thanks for your help!
Ok, I see... it now works thanks to your locking info.!
