Optimised battery charging

It is always learning. It will adapt based on usage patterns. I work shift work and can have several days off in a row and that changes when I put the phone on the charger and when I take it off. It has always worked just fine. If you ever want to see what it is doing on a specific day, a little while after you have put the device on the charger and before it charges to 80%, tap on the screen to reveal the lock screen and you should see a notification there about Optimized charging and it will display the time it should finish the charge to 100%.

No. You do not have to reset each time you travel. Give it a few days for it to learn your location that's it.
