Connecting 2 Displayport monitors to my 2019 15" Macbook Pro

I've looked at other threads but still am not sure. I purchased a USB to 2 Displayport adapter, but it shows both monitors as one. Here are my video specs:

Video Support

Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display at millions of colors and:

  • Up to two displays with 5120-by-2880 resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors
  • Up to four displays with 4096-by-2304 resolution at 60Hz at over a billion colors

Thunderbolt 3 digital video output

  • Native DisplayPort output over USB‑C
  • VGA, HDMI, DVI, and Thunderbolt 2 output supported using adapters (sold separately)

Someone said that it would support it through USB-C. Is that my problem? What adapter would you suggest? I honestly don't care if my laptop monitor works or not since I rarely use it due to size, but I really want my two Displayport monitors to work independently.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.3
