The only foreseeable issues will likely be any incompatible apps you may have. Make sure all of your apps that you use are compatible with macOS Sonoma and if not, update or upgrade to newer versions that are compatible.

I think there is no issue to upgrade to Sonoma on your MacBook Air, though you'd better take backup the data before upgrading.
