How do I fix my iPhone X unresponsive screen?

My iPhone X will not unlock, the screen is unresponsive, I’ve tried a hard reset (after about 25 tries I figured it wouldn’t work), I’ve also tried formatting the phone, but it only works for a little while and the minute you put it in your pocket and take it out again, it’s back to being unresponsive, I’m not sure why it doesn’t like pockets, it’s bizarre, do I need to replace the screen, would this solve the problem, I’ve followed every solution, but had no luck.
