Is it possible to remove an app from our family shared apps?

My 14 yo daughter recently downloaded a chat app that I didn’t have a chance to approve (or more accurately - disapprove), because we had all gotten new iPhones, and the parental control settings didn’t transfer before she downloaded it. Upon discovery of the app, I deleted it. The problem is that now that it’s been downloaded, it seems to be perpetually available for re-downloading, and I won’t be notified (even now that I’ve reinstated the parental controls). Is there any way to remove it or disable the ability to re-download, or at least subject that process to parental app approval?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

You can hide it. See the information in Hide App Store purchases - Apple Support including the following:

When you hide an app in your purchase list, it no longer appears in the list of your purchases that's in the App Store. The app will still appear in your complete purchase history in Settings. And if you use Family Sharing, family members can't redownload the app from your list of shared purchases.

Hiding an app won't remove it from your device, a family member's device, or other devices that are signed in with your Apple ID.
