Wired Apple headphones don’t work when making Telegram calls

Using wired Apple headphones and the Telegram app my iPad Pro reverts to interior mic and audio every time I try to make a Telegram call. App and ipad software up to date. I have quit app and redownloaded it to no avail.

Audio switching to internal speaker during WhatsApp calls Since the iOS26 update I got an annoying bug which is still present. When someone's calling me on WhatsApp and I use the external speaker audio, if i switch the call window to any other (whatsapp chat or another app) the audio is redirected to the internal phone speaker. I have to tap twice the "speaker" icon to restore this..... How can I fix that? I have the latest updates installed. ipad internal microphone not working on calls anymore, JBL headphones connected to issue I connected a pair of JBL Tune 510BT headphones to my iPad Pro, and now whenever I call people on any app (discord, FaceTime, etc) the iPad’s internal microphone won’t work, and people can only hear me if I connect my headphones. I am worried the headphones carry a malicious virus or code that ruined my iPad forever in order to make me dependent on that headphone brand. The iPad internal microphone still works when I record video or audio, but doesn’t work during live calls anymore. Please someone, help me. I hate that I might have ruined my expensive iPad Pro with a pair of cheap Bluetooth headphones that carry a virus.

Wired headphones do not work for calls on iPhone mini 13 I just got an iPhone 13 mini running iOS 18.4.1 and wired headphones work fine for everything except calls. Media, Zoom, etc ok. The phone app including voicemail doesn’t recognize that headphones are connected for audio or mic. I’ve tried Apple lightning to 3.5mm adapter with 3rd party headphones and Apple headphones with a lightning connector and have the same problem. I’ve seen similar issues from others but none of the proposed solutions worked for me. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

All I have learned is that the company may intend their headphones only to work with approved Apple apps and Telegram is not one of them, nor apparently is Skype.
