Removing Java icons from Dock

Today I downloaded a few apps on my laptop to view DICOM files. After downloading and using Planmeca Romexis, these two Java icons (see picture) appeared on the dock.


I deleted the app, but I can't seem to get rid of the Java icons. When I right-click > quit on either of these, nothing happens. Also, I can't find any Java files in Finder, nor can I open these.


I can't shut down my laptop because these are still open. Please help!

!!! UPDATE for anyone who might be dealing with the same issue and would come across this post :D

This is how I solved it:

  1. Launch Activity Monitor
  2. Find Java (make sure it's the right one, as multiple entries named Java could come up)
  3. Right-click on it > Quit > Force Quit
