Ventura Requires a Password to Do So Many Things
Is there a setting somewhere to allow basic things to be done without asking permission all the time? It's so annoying. It's seemingly inconsistent too. For example: copy a file to an external drive, need permission. Delete a file from an external drive, need permission. Move a file on an external drive into a folder, need permission. And when I move it, it makes a copy instead of just moving it, most of the time. I've done Command-I and tried to change permissions and won't let me. Some files say everyone can read and write but no go. Some files, a .jpg for instance, show that I can read and write but it won't open with Preview? I didn't have any of these issues before Ventura. I can boot into a Big Sur volume and not have these issues. While I can mostly get done what I need to it's a total pia. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
