I am running ventura from a bootable drive.While booting from that drive, for some reason,I am unable to change read/write permissions.Even the 'ignore permission' icon that's supposed to be below is not showing up.Any workarounds?

Yes, all of that is true. You cannot change the root level of a startup drive.
Ask the plugin developer where you are supposed to put them. The root level of the startup drive is certainly not the place.
Thanks.While installing plugins, I am unable to write data as I get an error in finding a User path.What do I do pls? Even to open a screen shot on the desktop, it says I have no permission ! :) Confused!

Your Desktop permissions have nothing to do with the root level of the startup drive.
How did you get your data to that drive?
I guess while serving up the boot drive it asked me if I wanted to copy all data from the original drive.That's why it is trying to install on the main drive? Should I erase the boot drive .At this point it's not letting me open pretty much anything!

Once the OS is installed, the Setup Assistant will run. It will ask if you want to Migrate from another Mac or Time Machine backup. Is that what you mean? It never asks if you want to "copy all data."

Sorry for the late response, yes I now remember, it did ask me if I wanted to migrate drive from another drive & I clicked yes.I'm planning to Erase all data & reinstall plugins as I'm having a lot of issues even while opening Logic Pro.Please let me know if there are any useful tips as I go about.Thanks

I don't know anything about Logic Pro or plug-ins.
I can't tell if there is anything wrong with the installation. It sounds like it may be fine and the problem is with the plug-in installers.
