Changing date and time in photos

I am adjusting the date and time of many imported photos to their original dates in 1950, 1960, 1970, etc. I'd like to be able to navigate quickly back to the place where I was working. For example, I have a photo dated 6/1/2018 (the date when it was imported/digitized) that actually should be dated 10/2/2002. I adjust it in 'Image: Date and Time'. When I click 'Adjust', it takes me to 10/2/2002. How do I quickly navigate back to 6/1/2018, where I was so I can continue with my editing?

I think that I would use a Smart Album with something like "Keyword" "is not" "Done" and sort the album by date. Then I'd change the date on the first one, type Done in the Keyword field of the info window, and that picture would disappear from the album, so the next one in line would now be at the top.

It would be even faster if you used keyword shortcuts-- you could not even have the info window open-- just type "d" while the picture is selected, and it'd disappear.

i am collecting the scanned photos, where I need to adjust the data and time in an album. In a manually sorted album the photos will not move around, when I adjust the date. So I can just step to the next photo in the album, when I have finished with one of them.

Thanks! I will try the keyword shortcuts as you suggest. I haven't figured out Smart Albums yet! Though now I am using a script that has made things much faster and easier.
