I just downloaded Monterey 12.7.4 to Mac 2019. Now Can't open posts in emails.

I had downloaded Sonoma last Dec. but had so many issues Mac had to be wiped and install Monterey. All was working good up to this point.

Then today it said 'updates' for security etc...so now Monterey 12.7.4

Now when try to open articles/posts in emails. Finder states, " 10673 "The application can't be opened."

I have tried looking at Apple support posts but not sure what they mean by 'rename' an email? then hit restart?

Any help with this much appreciated.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.7

Thank you to all replies!!!!. Yr suggestion

was the answer. The problem was that I had Chrome as default browser. When I restarted my Mac It asked if I wanted Safari as default browser . Said yes and all is working.

Just to add to previous posting from @ BDAqua

If as it appears you have more than one Web Browser installed on this computer

And, you have seen the Default Browser to other than Safari

The URL ( Link ) within the e-mail seems to hardwired to open the URL ( Link ) in Safari

You could always Right Click the URL ( Link ) in the email

Then choose the Other Browser
